Hoffman to star in 'Salesman' revival

NEW YORK, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Philip Seymour Hoffman and Andrew Garfield are to star in director Mike Nichols' Broadway revival of "Death of a Salesman," producers said.

Previews of the new edition of Arthur Miller's classic stage drama are to begin Feb. 13 at Manhattan's Barrymore Theatre. Opening night is set for March 15.

Tickets for the production went on sale Wednesday.

Hoffman will play Willy, Linda Emond will play Linda, and Garfield will play Biff in the 16-week engagement.

The play originally opened Feb. 10, 1949, at the Morosco Theatre. It won six Tony Awards, including Best Play, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play. "Salesman" was the first play to win all three awards.
