Hugh Jackman breaks Broadhurst Theatre record with $1.545 Million Gross

 

 

 

 

Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway broke The Broadhurst Theatre box office record for the sixth time last week with a gross of $1,545,550.  The show had most recently broken the Broadhurst’s record the week ending December 4 with a gross of $1,520,929. 

Previous members of the Broadhurst’s million dollar club are:

700 Sundays starring Billy Crystal (week ending 5/22/05): $1.061 million

Hamlet starring Jude Law (week ending 12/6/09): $1.000 million

The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino (week ending 1/2/11): $1.175 million

Tony Award-winner Hugh Jackman returns to the New York stage for a 10-week engagement in Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The production runs through January 1, 2012. Accompanied by an 18-piece orchestra, Hugh  Jackman performs a personal selection of his favorite musical numbers that reflect on the stage and film star’s remarkable life and career, from The Boy from Oz to Hollywood.
