Poesy to star in 'Cyrano' on Broadway

NEW YORK, July 17 (UPI) -- British actress Clemence Poesy is to make her Broadway debut as Roxane in a new production of "Cyrano de Bergerac," the Roundabout Theatre Company said Tuesday.

Douglas Hodge is playing the title role and Broadway veteran Patrick Page will play Comte De Guiche.

The new version of the 1897 play by French poet-dramatist Edmond Rostand will feature a translation by Ranjit Bolt. It is being directed by Jamie Lloyd.

The show will begin previews Sept. 14 and open officially Oct. 11 at the American Airlines Theatre. This will be a limited engagement through Nov. 25.

Hodge recently earned a Tony Award for his work in the revival of "La Cage aux Folles."

Poesy is best known for her work as Fleur Delacour in the Harry Potter film series.
