The Broadway Channel® welcomes The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel to its growing hotel distribution
April 27, 2011, New York, NY - The Broadway Channel® today announced it provides daily programming to all guest rooms and suites at one of New York City’s finest hotel, The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel. The Broadway Channel transmits its digital television programming into all rooms as part of the hotels’ cable line up.
Conveniently located in the vibrant heart of Manhattan, The Manhattan at Times Square Hotel is a fabulous New York City hotel for business and pleasure. This Midtown Manhattan jewel is a short walk to Broadway theaters, museums, shopping, dining and legendary attractions, such as Central Park and Rockefeller Center.
Broadway Previews, part of The Broadway Channel’s digital network provides daily programming on a dedicated cable channel into 74 hotels amounting to 37,169 Manhattan hotel rooms. The Broadway Channel digital network allows for “time of day” airing of theatrical programming, commercials, ticket billboards and star interviews.
The Broadway Channel is a full-service multimedia company that produces and distributes video and television programming for Broadway, Off-Broadway, Broadway on Tour, Las Vegas, Performing Art Centers and Regional Theatres.
The Broadway Channel provides programming as part of the Video on Demand broadband platform available on stand-alone TiVo DVR’s nationwide. Broadway Channel has secured an international contract with Samsung as it is launching a Broadway Channel App that will be on 5-7 million US TV’s and Blue Ray players by June 1st. All Broadway Previews clients will be included in both short form: theatrical trailers, billboards and interviews along with Broadway Previews updated each month. Estimated total amount of TV’s and Blue Rays should reach 12 million by the end of the year. The Broadway Channel App will be in the same style by the same developers of Netflix and Blockbuster Online and will showcase Broadway shows and tours in the same style of current movie releases.
