Broadway In Chicago is dedicated to bringing the best and brightest of Broadway to Chicago, operating the LaSalle Bank Theatre, Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre and the Cadillac Palace Theatre – in addition to overseeing theatrical bookings at the Auditorium Theatre and the long run of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at the Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place. Broadway In Chicago has established Chicago as a nationally recognized, preeminent Broadway “try-out” city through presentations of pre-Broadway premieres including The Pirate Queen, Sweet Charity, Monty Python’s Spamalot, The Producers, All Shook Up, Mamma Mia!, Movin’ Out and Sweet Smell of Success. These successful engagements have proven Chicago can play host to long-run hits including Wicked, Spelling Bee and Disney’s The Lion King. As we move into 2007, Broadway In Chicago is proud to present the Chicago premieres of The Color Purple and Jersey Boys and numerous national tours including Doubt, Twelve Angry Men, Legends!, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Camelot, The Light in the Piazza and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
