THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of “South Park” and Robert Lopez, the co-creator of Avenue Q, has broken the house record of Broadway’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre for the 17th time.   The show earned $1,310,225.50 in the 1,068-seat O’Neill, one of Broadway’s smallest theatres, for the week ending Sunday, October 2, 2011 and has consistently been one of the top five grossing Broadway shows since opening in the spring.
